Mckenna Grace Lands Starring Role in 'Ghostbusters' Sequel
Congratulations are in order for Mckenna Grace!
The Captain Marvel and The Haunting actress has snagged the leading role in Jason Reitman‘s Ghostbusters sequel film, THR reports.
The original Ghostbusters movies debuted in the 1980s by Jason’s father, Ivan Reitman.
The story focuses on “four teens, one set older, one set younger, with a focus on one family in particular.”
Mckenna, who will play the “ostensible lead,” joins Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard, who will portray her brother, and The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon, who will play her single mother.
Plot details are reportedly being “kept underneath a Manhattan firehouse.”
Filming is set to start this summer for a July 10, 2020, release date!
