Elle Fanning Reveals Her Secret Singing Skill on 'Fallon'!

Elle Fanning is revealing her hidden talents!

As part of the promotional tour for her new movie, Teen Spirit, the 20-year-old actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (April 4) in New York City.

Elle gets plenty of chances to showcase her impressive vocal skills in the movie, which follows a teenage girl named Violet who competes in an American Idol-style singing competition. Filming the movie, however, required the actress to hone another talent: Speed lip syncing.

“If they want to shoot in slow-motion, they have to speed up the lyrics that you mouth to and you have to mouth the lyrics super super super fast like Alvin and the Chipmunks-style,” she told Jimmy Fallon during her interview.

Elle came to The Tonight Show armed with a clip of her speed singing in action, but the late night host wasn’t satisfied and challenged her to speed-sing Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” The Jonas Brothers‘ “Sucker,” and Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” on the show.

The actress was spotted several other times throughout the day while doing press for the movie and you can see those photos in the gallery!
