Laura Marano Talks About 'The Perfect Date's 'Austin & Ally' Homage: 'It Wasn't Planned At All'

When we first saw the trailer for The Perfect Date, with Laura Marano and Noah Centineo, we squealed when we saw that awkward dance scene.

It was a cute little Austin & Ally easter egg, that turns out, wasn’t planned at all.

Speaking to ET, Laura revealed that the scene “was so much fun…one of the things we did on Austin and Ally was awkwardly dance together, which, not planned at all and very coincidental, we do in The Perfect Date.”

“It was really fun kind of making that come alive again.”

Laura even shared the Austin & Ally scene with Noah on her Instagram in honor of Throwback Thursday last week.

The Perfect Date premieres April 12th on Netflix!
