Shawn Mendes entertains a crowd full of fans with his guitar and amazing voice during his tour stop at the O2 Arena in London on Tuesday night (April 16).

The 20-year-old singer recently opened up with The Guardian about how he first got started in his career – and that included belting out a Bruno Mars‘ song in the middle of a square while on vacation with his family in Portugal.

It was while his parents were shopping, and he hopped up next to a statue and belted out the song.

“I was sweating and I thought, ‘Dude, if you want to be a singer, you’ve got to at least be able to stand on this statue and sing,’” Shawn recalls.
