Ariana Grande Was Hit by a Lemon on Stage at Coachella

Someone threw a lemon at Ariana Grande while she was performing on stage at Coachella. Yes, really.

A fan caught a video of the 25-year-old singer getting pelted in the chest by a lemon during her performance on stage at the music festival on Sunday night (April 21) in Indio, Calif.

According to audience members, Ariana stopped the show to address the situation saying, “That’s ’cause one of y’all threw a lemon at me. S–t.”

There’s a lot of speculation as to why the lemon was thrown at Ariana.

Last year, Beyonce made history at Coachella when she became the first ever African American women to ever headline the show. It was then transformed into a documentary titled Homecoming on Netflix.

The lemon-hurling might also be a reaction to the rumors that Ariana was paid double the amount Beyonce did for headlining Coachella, but it was recently reported that the two singers made the same amount.
