Jade Thirlwall Opens Up About Little Mix's Mental Health at British LGBT Awards 2019

Jade Thirlwall steps out in style for the 2019 British LGBT Awards held at Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on Friday (May 17) in London, England.

The 26-year-old singer wore Saint Laurent heels to complete her look on the red carpet, where she joined many others.

While on the red carpet, Jade opened up about how she and her Little Mix bandmates, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson, all probably needed therapy after winning X-Factor back in 2011.

She shared that each of them struggled after they found instant fame: “We were only 18 or 19 when we got thrown into the industry and it is a lot to handle. Maybe there could have been a bit more in place for mental health, we all have suffered in some way…”

Jade adds, “We’ve all gone through moments with our mental health, whether it’s talking to someone, getting therapy.”
