Dove Cameron's Dream Role Is Something "Horrible" and "Damaging"

Dove Cameron is growing up.

The 23-year-old actress might be best known for her kid-friendly roles on the Disney Channel, but she’s looking to tackle more adult parts.

In a new interview with the Evening Standard, Dove opened up about her dream role-which would be something much darker than her Disney roots.

“It’s nice to be 23 and still be able to play high-school age but in my next roles I’ll be playing 23 or 24,” Dove said. “And my dream is to do a role like Monster or Black Swan, something ridiculous, horrible, damaging.”

Dove is currently in London, where she’s set to star as Clara in The Light in the Piazza at the Royal Festival Hall.
