Gaten Matarazzo's New Netflix Prank Show Met With Tons of Criticism
Gaten Matarazzo just announced he will be hosting a new prank show called Prank Encounters for Netflix, but many are not happy about the idea.
The new show takes two complete strangers who each think they’re starting their first day at a new job. It’s business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.
Many fans responded to Gaten‘s tweet about the show and called for it to be canceled, and some even said he should look for new representation.
A lot of tweets also said that the show would actually do more harm to those that are just looking to find a job.

It is very depressing to be out of work. I am speaking as someone who has been thru three totally random layoffs.
The added stress of a day enduring this "prank" could be the event that pushes a vulnerable person to suicide, or murder-suicide.
Think about the lawsuits.

Sorry, but this show sounds like a horrible idea.

Yeah no, plenty of my family have struggled trying to get jobs, so to see people get "Pranked" on hope of finding a job is fucking disgusting. Hope it's canceled and massive respect lost.

this might seem fun and laughable in the moment, but overall this prank does far more harm than good. perhaps brainstorm pranks that are harmless and fun for all involved? we all need a good laugh — but a healthy one, nonetheless

Kick upwards, not downwards. People trying to find work have enough problems without this awful shit.

Please don't be evil, man. This is horrible.
