Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes Talk How Their New Collab, 'Senorita', Came About

In the new issue, the two musicians and longtime friends opened up about how their new collab, “Senorita” was born.

“The song is actually like eight months in the making,” Camila remembered, while Shawn recalled that it took him “10 months to convince Camila to sing this with me.”

Camila then joked that her fans would hate her for that: “Honestly, it just takes the right time for things to happen, I feel. You know?”

The two also recalled their first ever meeting on the Austin Mahone tour years ago.

“I remember I wanted to hang out with you, but you were always on the tour bus, just learning guitar,” Camila says.

Shawn added, “I didn’t talk to anybody. You were the only person that talked to me. Like, you were the only one of everybody on that tour who would say words to me. Actually, I think if we go into our DM’s or something, there’s a photo from the day we met, I think.”
