Do You Remember When Halle Bailey Got Her Start on Radio Disney's N.B.T?

Halle Bailey has officially joined the cast of the upcoming live action Little Mermaid movie but this isn’t her first time working with Disney!

Back in 2012, the now 19-year-old singer and actress won Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing contest with her older sister Chloe!

The sisters even got to make a guest appearance on Austin & Ally!

Then in 2013, their YouTube cover of “Pretty Hurts” caught the attention of Beyonce, who signed them to her label Parkwood Entertainment.

Chloe x Halle went on to release several EPs before dropping their highly anticipated full length album The Kids Are Alright in 2018. You can download it on iTunes now!

The album, which they wrote and executive produced, earned them two Grammy nods for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best New Artist.

That same year Halle and Chloe also joined the cast of Freeform’s black-ish spinoff series grown-ish, alongside Yara Shahidi.
