Ansel Elgort Seen Filming Night Scenes For 'West Side Story' in NYC

Ansel Elgort is all smiles on set while filming West Side Story in New York City on Tuesday night (July 23).

The 25-year-old actor, who will play Tony in the movie, was seen shooting night scenes along with Mike Faist, and getting some direction from Steven Spielberg.

Mike will play Jets leader Riff in the movie.

If you don’t know, West Side Story centers on Tony and Maria, a modern day Romeo and Juliet, who fight to stay together in the midst of a gang war. See the first cast pic NOW!

West Side Story is set to hit theaters on December 18th, 2020.
