Tom Holland Assures Fans He'll Still Be Playing Spider-Man Despite Not Being Part of the MCU

Tom Holland shows off his charming smile while attending the 2019 Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia, Penn., on Monday (August 26).

The 23-year-old actor chatted about the future of the Spider-Man film series, since news was announced that Sony and Disney would not be working together on them anymore.

“It’s not the end of me playing Spider-Man,” he assured fans at the convention. “There’s definitely more to come.”

Tom added, “We sat down with some of our creatives. We pitched Spider-Man 3, which is going to be something very special, it’s going to be something very different.”

What kind of different? Tom says that there are new characters arriving into the films next.

“It’s really exciting, the ideas we have for how we can expand the Spider-Man world and bring new characters into it, and crossover with other people.”
