Colleen Ballinger Pens Emotional Goodbye To Broadway Debut in 'Waitress'
Colleen Ballinger‘s run on Broadway has come to an end.
The YouTube star wrapped her debut in the musical Waitress, where she starred as Dawn alongside one of her best friends, Todrick Hall.
“Wow. Where do I begin? I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude for this experience,” Colleen wrote on Instagram. “I’ve dreamt of being on Broadway since I was a little girl and I’m still in shock that I got to make my Broadway debut in one of the most beautiful, inspiring, genius musicals of all time. @waitressmusical changed my life before I even got this job. the music that @sarabareilles wrote for this show impacted me so deeply through some really rough times, and then through my pregnancy, and becoming a mother. To be able to share this beautiful music on a broadway stage and watch the story inspire women in the audience every night was an experience I will never be able to explain in words. On top of that, this cast is full of the most beautiful, loving, talented, inspiring humans I have ever encountered. It was an honor to share the stage with them.”
“Thank you to everyone who supported me and got me here. whether you came to the show or just cheered me on through social media, I appreciate you so much,” Colleen added. “Thank you to the amazing cast and crew for welcoming me and making me feel so loved. Thank you to Kory, Erik, and Flynn for letting me drag us to NYC and flip our lives upside-down for this dream come true. Thank you grandpa for introducing me to musical theater and always believing that I would be on Broadway one day. I felt you with me last night on that stage. Goodbye Dawn. I love you, you little turtle. ‘Dreams come and they go. But hold them and keep them. And know that you need them. When your breaking point’s all that you have… A dream is a soft place to land. May we all be so lucky’”
