Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus have known each other for years and their relationship has been a long time coming… and it’s been something he definitely has been thinking about for even longer.
The 22-year-old Aussie singer has revealed that he had a crush on Miley when he was a kid.
“I told her, ‘I used to kiss the TV screen at 9 years old.’ She was the only one that I ever felt like that about at that age. I had a crush ever since I knew who she was,” Cody said on the Fitzy Wippa Nova radio show.
Cody also talked about how he and Miley started off as friends years ago when they were both in their party phases. They are both living a sober lifestyle now.
“She was extremely supportive of me and more recently she was like, ‘I think it was just because I had a crush on you the whole time,’” he said. “I was like, ‘Well I’ve loved you since I was nine’ and here we are.”
Cody also confirmed that Miley had already split with Kaitlynn Carter before they started dating. He said, “I’m not one to break things up.”
