Kylie Jenner Just Sold A Majority Stake of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty

Kylie Jenner has sold off the majority stake in her namesake beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics, to Coty, which also owns other beauty brands including Covergirl, OPI, and Clairol.

“I’m excited to partner with Coty to continue to reach even more fans of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin around the world. I look forward to continuing the creativity and ingenuity for each collection that consumers have come to expect and engaging with my fans across social media,” the 22-year-old beauty mogul and reality star shared in a statement.

“This partnership will allow me and my team to stay focused on the creation and development of each product while building the brand into an international beauty powerhouse.”

The sale ended up being for $600 million, and Kylie and her team will continue to lead all creative efforts of product development and communication initiatives.

Coty is said to have plans to expand the brand internationally, and with new product releases including nails and a fragrance category.
