Camila Cabello Explains Why She Was Censoring Herself on Social Media

Camila Cabello wants to stay true to who she is.

The 22-year-old singer recently opened up about her decision to stop censoring herself on social media.

Camila said that she’s always been “super-conscious” of her younger fans, especially because she has a 12-year-old sister.

“I don’t want to hurt their innocence. I know a lot of people would say that’s not my responsibility, and I get that. But to me it is,” Camila explained to SunSentinel.

She added that she avoided swearing on Instagram up until two months ago but started to feel like she wasn’t being herself.

“Some stuff just isn’t funny without a swear word…I swear in real life like a sailor, and I was starting to feel like I was censoring myself,” Camila noted.
