Charli D'Amelio Gets Candid About Hate From TikTok Fame

Charli D’Amelio is opening up about getting tons of hate online and in person.

The 15-year-old TikTok personality met with Gary Vaynerchuk and asked what the best way was to deal with hate in comments and at school.

“My belief is the best way to deal with that is compassion,” he told her at their first meeting.

In their second meeting, Charli shared that she took his advice and she has a whole new outlook on dealing with haters.

“I think it’s so cool that I can now use those two weeks of straight hate I got, to use that, ’cause now it doesn’t affect me, I just don’t care,” she shared. “People were just like, ‘I don’t get the hype, I don’t get it, she’s just average.’ I was like, ‘Oh really?’ Now I’m just like, ‘Oh okay, you’re just sitting at home on your phone writing hate comments on a 15 year old girl.’ Who’s genuinely happier right now?”

“I had to be like, I’m not getting upset about [the hate],” Charli continued. “I was getting so upset and I would just be like, “wow I guess I really am average.’ It was just all running through my head, and I would just believe everything.”
