Aly Raisman is talking about her decision to not compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The 25-year-old gymnast took to Instagram to clear the air after a report came out she was skipping this year’s games.

“It’s true I’m not going to be competing in Tokyo, but seeing it characterized as such a simple deceision really caught me off gaurd,” Aly wrote. “The Olympic journey is so much more than that!”

“Feeling very grateful… Thank you to my parents, Brett, Chloe, Madison, my coaches Mihai & Silvie, my teammates, Octagon, and everyone else who supported me,” she captioned her Instagram post. “It takes a village to get to the Olympics, and I am so appreciative of every single person that helped me along the way. A huge thank you to my fans – your support has meant everything to me. I am very lucky to have been able to do something I love for so many years & I’m excited for what’s next!”
