Little Fires Everywhere's Gavin Lewis Shares His Favorite Book To Movie Adaptations
Gavin Lewis is bringing Moody Richardson to life in Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere!
The 16-year-old actor plays Reese Witherspoon‘s son in the mini-series adaptation from the book of the same name.
Since he’s starring in a book to screen adaptation, we thought it would be fun to find out Gavin‘s top five favorite movies that were books first!
The first three episodes of Little Fires Everywhere are streaming NOW on Hulu.
- 5. The Shining – Even though Kubrick’s adaptation made a lot of changes from the book, Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of Jack Torrance and the monster he becomes is incredible.
- 4. Where the Wild Things Are – This was my favorite book when I was little, and my six-year-old self was blown away by seeing Sendak’s monsters come to life.
- 3. It – The movie did a great job of keeping to the anxiety producing storyline of the book, particularly Bill Skarsgård’s terrifying portrayal of Pennywise.

- 2. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World – This movie is comedically brilliant. Seeing Scott dive out the window after noticing Knives at the door kills me every time. And I love how faithful the script stayed to the graphic novels.
- 1. Fight Club – Chuck Palahniuk’s voice meets David Fincher’s vision. It can’t get much better than that.
