Selena Gomez Is Using Her Platform to Highlight Black Voices, Rare Beauty Donates To Bail Funds
Selena Gomez is giving her platform to influential leaders and black voices.
The 27-year-old entertainer took to Instagram to share that she didn’t know how to best use her social media, and has now figured out a way.
“I have been struggling to know the right things to say to get the word out about this important moment in history. After thinking about how best to use my social media, I decided that we all need to hear more from Black voices,” Selena wrote.
“Over the next few days I will be highlighting influentials leaders and giving them a chance to take over my Instagram so that they can speak directly to all of us. We all have an obligation to do better and we can start by listening with an open heart and mind,” she added.
In addition, Selena‘s beauty company, Rare Beauty, also announced that they are taking action and have made donations to bail fund organizations – Bail Project and NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
