Walt Disney World Is Permanently Closing These Rides!

Walt Disney World is now fully reopened, but a few rides and attractions will no longer be available!

The Disney theme park will be shutting down the rides Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom and Stitch’s Great Escape at Magic Kingdom.

Also closing permanently is the Rivers of Light show at Animal Kingdom.

Stitch’s Great Escape has been “temporarily closed” for a while, and has been rumored to being replaced with a Wreck-It Ralph attraction in the future.

The Rivers of Light show is one of many nighttime spectaculars that are on hold due to the pandemic, but will actually not return at all.

Though Disney Parks has not officially revealed the news, reporter Scott Gustin says that he has confirmed with the mouse house.

“Just FYI – I confirmed the news with Disney. I have not seen the memo that apparently went out to Cast Members, but I assume it does not include any additional information,” he tweeted.

If you didn’t know, a representative for Walt Disney World announced on Wednesday (July 15) that they’ll be pushing back their Mary Poppins-inspired ride that was planned to arrive at Epcot’s World Showcase, as well as the update to Epcot’s classic Spaceship Earth, in Future World, amid the pandemic.

In case you missed it, this very popular ride is getting a redesign at the US parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney World!
