Taylor Swift Sold 1.3 Million Copies of 'Folklore' in ONE DAY!

Taylor Swift surprised her fans by releasing her new album Folklore and fans were clearly excited as a massive amount of copies were sold in the first 24 hours of release.

Republic Records has announced that more than 1.3 million copies of the album were sold around the globe on the first day of release.

Folklore has also set the Spotify global record for first day album streams by a female artist with 80.6 million streams.

The album is also the most streamed pop album on Apple Music in 24 hours with 35.47 million streams. Amazon Music says that the album has set a record for indie/alternative streaming.

Folklore is also Taylor‘s highest rated critically acclaimed album on Metacritic, currently with a User Score of 9.6.
