Demi Lovato Speaks Out In Support of Trans Youth at GLAAD Awards 2020
Demi Lovato joined the 2020 GLAAD Awards to present a performance.
The 28-year-old entertainer introduced Shea Diamond‘s performance of “I Am America.”
During her introduction, Demi spoke out in support of trans youth and reminded them that they are not alone.
โI specifically want to remind trans youth that you matter,” she said. “I know things are crazy hard right now, and you may not have your usual support system around you…but donโt let anyone, especially the Trump administration, fool you into thinking you are anything less than perfect and meant to be. Be proud of who you are, keep your voices loud and strong, and know that weโre out here fighting for you.โ
In case you missed it, Demi was just nominated for two 2020 MTV VMAs. She’s up for Video For Good and Best Visual Effects for her “I Love Me” music video.
“congrats on your 2 @vmas nominations baby @ddlovato you, this song, and video deserve all the accolades ๐ love u go to mtv.com/vma/vote to vote!๐,” Demi‘s fiance Max Ehrich wrote on Instagram.
