Joey King gets into some hot water in the trailer for her upcoming movie The Lie!

The 21-year-old actress stars as a teenager named Kayla, who murders her best friend Brittany.

In the trailer, she confesses to her father (Peter Sarsgaard), saying, “I pushed her… I pushed her and she fell.”

Here’s a synopsis: When their teenage daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend, two desperate parents attempt to cover up the horrific crime, leading them into a complicated web of lies and deception.

The Lie also stars Mireille Enos, and will premiere on Prime Video on October 6th as part of the first half of the “Welcome To Blumhouse” programming.
