Selena Gomez Feels Confident Showing Off Her Kidney Transplant Scar

Selena Gomez has gained more confidence with her body!

The 28-year-old shared a new Instagram post in a bathing suit, and shared about her visible scar in the caption.

“When I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn’t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up. Now, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through…and I’m proud of that. T – Congratulations on what you’re doing for women, launching @lamariette whose message is just that…all bodies are beautiful,” Selena wrote.

La’Mariette is a swimwear line that Selena‘s longtime friend Theresa Marie Mingus has co-founded, which promotes body positivity and inclusivity, and supports all body types.

If you remember, Selena got a kidney transplant back in 2017, and her new kidney was donated by her close friend Francia Raisa.
