Taylor Swift Says This Was Her One 'True Breakup Album'

Taylor Swift is opening up about her 2012 album Red!

The 30-year-old songstress shared with Rolling Stone that it was specifically her heartbreak album.

“I look back on this as my true breakup album, every other album has flickers of different things,” Taylor said for the Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums podcast. “But this is an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core, heartbreak.”

Red was also her last country album, but featured a country pop sound, before transitioning into the pop world with her next album 1989.

The album featured hits like “All Too Well,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22,” “Everything Has Changed,” and more.

Red was nominated for multiple awards for the album, and won several, including the AMA for Favorite Country Album, Billboard Music Awards for Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Country Album, and was nominated for two Grammys.
