Kathleen Rose Perkins Joins 'Doogie Kameāloha' As Peyton Elizabeth Lee's Mom

Disney+ series Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. just gained another cast member!

Kathleen Rose Perkins has been cast in a leading role opposite newly announced Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the title role.

She will portray Dr. Clara Hannon, Doogie’s spit-fire Irish mother, who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, Deadline reveals.

Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. is a reimagined, gender-swapped version of Neil Patrick Harris‘ Doogie Howser, M.D., and will follow Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha (Lee), a mixed race 16-year-old girl, juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager.

Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her family, including her spit-fire Irish mother who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, and her Hawaiian “Local Boy” father struggling to accept that his daughter is no longer his little girl.

Kathleen also has a recurring role in another upcoming Disney+ series, Big Shot, with John Stamos. Find out who else is in the cast!
