Are These Sabrina Carpenter Lyrics a Response To Olivia Rodrigo's 'drivers license'?

Sabrina Carpenter‘s new song “Skin” was just released and fans are already dissecting it!

There are lyrics in the track that seem to be a direct response to Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut hit “drivers license.”

In Sabrina‘s song, she sings, “Maybe then we could pretend, there’s no gravity in the words we write, maybe you didn’t mean it, maybe blonde was the only rhyme.”

Fans are correlating this to Olivia‘s “And you’re probably with that blonde girl, who always made me doubt, she’s so much older than me, she’s everything I’m insecure about.”

Sabrina also sings, “And I’m not asking you to let it go, but you been tellin’ your side, so I’ll be telling mine.”

To add to all of the speculation, in between Sabrina and Olivia‘s songs, Joshua Bassett, who is said to be in the subject of “drivers license,” also released a song called, “Lie Lie Lie,” which he said is about an ex friend.

If you missed it, Olivia just addressed the rumors of the subject of her song.
