OlderNetflix Announces 'Rebelde' Revival, Reveals New Cast!
The popular Mexican teen telenovela Rebelde is making a comeback on Netflix!
The streaming service announced the news on Monday (March 1) that the series will premiere in 2022.
If you didn’t know, Rebelde was a Mexican telenovela, based off of the Argentinian series Rebelde Way, which followed a group of six students who form a band while attending the Elite Way School, a prestigious private boarding high school in Mexico City.
In addition to the show announcement, Netflix also revealed who will be starring in the upcoming series set at Elite Way School.
“EWS is renowned for excellence of its illustrious student body-young people ready to dazzle the world. In these halls, we have shaped icons who have gone on to entertain millions with their talent, and our classrooms have turned students into stars, ready for the big stage,” the streamer shared in a letter from the principal, Celina Ferrer, in the show.
The new students will start wearing the EWS uniform during orientation, which will start on March 1 of this year, thus preparing themselves for the upcoming 2022 school year at this institution, always committed to educating the leaders of tomorrow.”
