Zendaya Is 'Incredibly Grateful' For SeeHer Award at Critics Choice Awards 2021

Zendaya gives a sweet smiles while accepting her award during the 2021 Critics Choice Awards broadcast on Sunday (March 7).

The 24-year-old actress was honored with the SeeHer award, which recognizes women who pushes boundaries, defies stereotypes and recognizes the importance of authentic portrayals of women across the entertainment landscape.

Ahead of her own speech, her Malcolm & Marie co-star John David Washington presented her with the award with a special message.

“This word keeps coming to my mind, especially with the year we’ve just had, to be grateful for every moment we’ve had big and small,” she shared in her acceptance speech, and urged others to “make sure we hold on to our loved ones a little tighter.”

“I would not be here without the women who paved the way for me,” Zendaya added. “Not to overuse the word, but I am incredibly grateful for this award.”
