Millie Bobby Brown Shares Inspiring Message at the Kids' Choice Awards 2021

Millie Bobby Brown made an appearance during the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night (March 13)!

The 17-year-old won two awards at the show this year – Favorite Movie Actress AND Favorite TV Actress.

In her acceptance speech, Millie had quite an inspiring message for girls and women.

“Yay! Thank you guys so much. Thank you to all the fans that voted for me for Kids’ Choice. This is the first time in 20 years to win both TV and movie actress, and for that I am incredibly grateful,” she said.

“I’ve been in this industry where I’ve had my triumphs, my struggles, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the women over the world that continue to redefine and shape women in TV and movies,” Millie continued. “I have great inspirations, and for that, that is why I am accepting these awards. We will continue to fight against stigmas and stereotypes, and I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of that movement.”

“I thank you guys so much. Please stay safe. Love you!”

The last person to win both Favorite TV Actress and Favorite Movie Actress in the same year was Amanda Bynes in 2003, for Big Fat Liar and The Amanda Show. She actually won Favorite TV Actress four years in a row, from 2000 to 2003!

Millie‘s show Stranger Things also picked up the award for Favorite Family TV Show. Her co-stars Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard and Noah Schnapp accepted the award on the show’s behalf.
