Disneyland Sets April 30th Reopening Date - Find Out All You Need To Know!

The Disneyland resort parks will soon be fully open to guests!

Disney California Adventure park has been partially open to park goers, with shops and restaurants along Buena Vista Street being open, but now, the entire park, as well as the Disneyland park will finally reopen at limited capacity, starting April 30th.

Disneyland announced the exciting news on Wednesday morning (March 17), three days after the one year mark of being closed down due to the pandemic. This is the last Disney theme park to reopen.

Disney promises guests will be able to ride their favorite rides once again, including one of the newest rides, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and the newly reimagined Snow White’s Enchanted Wish.

Certain experiences that draw large gatherings like parades and fireworks shows will return at a later date.

UPDATE: These rides and attractions will remain closed upon reopening!

In order to adhere to the limited capacity and comply with government guidelines, Disneyland Resort will put into place a new reservation system to manage attendance, much like the Walt Disney World resort has been doing since last July.

Guests MUST obtain a reservation in order to enter the park, along with a valid park admission ticket for the same day, for all persons ages three and up. At this time, ONLY California residents will be able to visit the parks in line with state guidelines.

Disneyland resort hotels will also be doing a phased reopening, welcoming guests back to stay at one of the hotels. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen on April 29th, with limited capacity, Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen May 2nd and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date.

Much like Downtown Disney has already been doing, the Disneyland resort parks will have enhanced health and safety measures and procedures. For up-to-date information or to learn more, head to Disneyland.com!
