The CW Reveals 'Black Lightning' Series Finale Date & Episode Synopsis
Black Lightning is coming to an end in just a couple of weeks!
The CW just revealed the exact date of the final episode, along with a brief synopsis.
The title of the episode is “The Book of Resurrection: Chapter Two: Closure,” and is directed by showrunner Salim Akil.
Here’s the synopsis: After four seasons, the game-changing, relevant and electrifying series comes to an end.
The final episode will star Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, China Anne McClain, James Remar, Marvin Jones III, Jordan Calloway and Chantal Thuy.
If you remember, China‘s role was scaled back this season as she was actually planning to leave the show, and only came back this season for a limited number of episodes.
There is still some hope that we’ll get to see some of these characters in the future, as Jordan Calloway‘s Painkiller received a backdoor pilot order, which aired a few weeks back in April. No word yet if the spinoff series was picked up.
Black Lightning will air it’s final episode after four seasons on Monday, May 24th at 9pm ET/PT on The CW.
