Sarah Hyland Has an Epic New Role In Fairytale Pilot From 'Once Upon a Time' Creators

Sarah Hyland‘s new role has been revealed!

The 30-year-old actress has teased that she was up to something after traveling overseas and quarantining, and now we finally know what it is.

Sarah has been cast as a literal princess in the pilot for the potential new ABC series Epic.

She will star with Brittany O’Grady and Eleanor Fanyinka in the show, which is described as “a romantic anthology series that reinvents fairy tales for a new audience,” according to Deadline.

Sarah is taking on the role of Rose, who “is as princess-y as princesses come, and about to marry her Prince Charming. But her fairy tale gets upended when he has second thoughts, and trying to preserve her dreams opens her up to an unexpected world.”

Epic is new fairytale drama from the same creators as Once Upon a Time, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

“A Rose and her steed: An EPIC Series… maybe🤞🏼✨💕 So excited to be working on a project for the first time in over a year! I’ve already been overseas for a month with the most amazing cast, we started shooting yesterday, and let’s just say that this is going to be… EPIC 😉,” Sarah captioned a photo of her with her horse for the show.

This will be Sarah‘s first film or TV project since she wrapped filming on Modern Family in February 2020. Congrats Sarah!!
