Ryan Murphy Says Kaia Gerber's 'American Horror Story' Audition Was 'One of the Best'

Ryan Murphy is gushing over Kaia Gerber‘s acting and her audition for the upcoming season of American Horror Story!

The producer and co-creator of the show opened up in the 19-year-old model’s new Vogue cover feature.

Ryan confirmed in March that she joined the star-studded cast of the new season.

“She had one of the best auditions I’ve ever seen. I was so surprised that she didn’t call in any favors,” Ryan shared. “You could tell that she’d just worked really hard and really got in the trenches. She wanted a challenge.”

“Not only is she a great actress, but she has star appeal, and you can’t buy that,” he added. “She has a combination of strength and vulnerability that people are really drawn to. She’s an empath.”

In her feature, Kaia also talked about going to boyfriend Jacob Elordi for acting advice.

“He’s a great person for me to go to because he’s gone to drama school and has years of experience that I don’t have,” she dished. “So I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m definitely going to be using you as a resource.’”

If you missed it, Kaia was seen on the set of American Horror Story in April. We don’t know anything about her character yet, or how many episodes she will appear.
