Jenna Ortega Cast as Wednesday Addams In Live Action Netflix Series!

Jenna Ortega has a super exciting new role and today, Wednesday (May 19), is the perfect today to announce it!

The 18-year-old actress and author will be starring as Wednesday Addams in the upcoming live action Netflix series Wednesday.

“New chapter. Hope I can do Wednesday Addams justice. *snaps twice*” she wrote on Instagram.

Wednesday is a comedic coming-of-age tale from Netflix. It is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

The series, from Tim Burton, was first announced back in February, and will consist of eight episodes.
