'The Flash' Season 8 Will Kick Off With Multi-Episode 'Crossover-Type' Events!

The Flash‘s next season will start with a big bang!

We are getting so much CW news this week, and it’s only Tuesday (May 25), and the latest is just too good.

CW boss Mark Pedowitz revealed that the first five episodes of The Flash season eight will “feature different heroes from the CW-verse.”

“The idea for The Flash is, [showrunner] Eric Wallace and [executive producer] Greg [Berlanti] have come together and are talking about other superheroes from the CW-verse who will come together in each individual episode,” he said, via Deadline. β€œIt will not be quite be a crossover but will have a crossover-type feel and the introduction of all these characters.”

Since we were deprived of crossover events this year due to COVID, we are so excited to see what next season brings!

Filming on The Flash‘s current season is said to continue through June/July, before they go on hiatus. The cast and crew will then resume filming in September, with a November season premiere.

If you missed it, The CW just revealed the new fall nightly schedule, which has a few changes to some of the hit shows!

It was also recently announced that two actors are leaving The Flash after the current season…
