Julia Butters Cast In Steven Spielberg's New Movie Loosely About His Childhood

Julia Butters has landed an exciting new role!

It was just announced that the 12-year-old actress has been cast in Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming film, Deadline reports.

The movie will be loosely based on Spielberg‘s childhood, growing up in Arizona. Julia will “play the sister to the young filmmaker (Gabriel LaBelle) at the center of the story.”

The young, former American Housewife actress joins quite the stacked cast for the film, which includes Michelle Williams in a role inspired by his mom, Paul Dano in a role inspired by his father and Seth Rogen as his favorite uncle.

Steven co-wrote the script alongside Tony Kushner. Filming is expected to begin this summer, with a 2022 release date.

Last September, it was announced that Julia had left her role in American Housewife to pursue other opportunities. Her role in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood garnered her a lot of praise and attention, and opened up a lot of doors for her.
