In The Heights' Leslie Grace Lands Title Role In HBO Max's 'Batgirl' Movie!

Batgirl has found it’s leading lady!

In The Heights breakout star Leslie Grace has reportedly landed the coveted role of Barbara Gordon in the upcoming HBO Max movie, Deadline reveals.

This will be the singer’s second acting job, after making her debut in In The Heights!

Three other actresses – Isabela Merced, Zoey Deutch and Haley Lu Richardson – were also reported to be final contenders for the role, with screen tests happening this week.

While not much is known about the plot of the movie, it is reportedly set to surround Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon. Other characters who have taken on the Batgirl mantle in the comics include Betty Kane, Helena Bartinelli, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will direct a script by Christina Hodson.
