Selena Gomez Responds To 'Tasteless Joke' About Her On 'The Good Fight'

Selena Gomez is directly speaking out about some “jokes” made at her expense.

The 29-year-old star took to Twitter to react to some lines on The Good Fight that referenced her kidney transplant surgery.

“I am not sure how writing jokes about organ transplants for television shows has become a thing but sadly it has apparently,” Selena wrote. “I hope in the next writer’s room when one of these tasteless jokes are presented it’s called out immediately and doesn’t make it on air.”

“My fans always have my back. LOVE YOU. If you are able to please sign up to be an organ donor,” she added, along with a link to sign up.

Just last year, Peacock series Saved By The Bell had a similar thing, and Selena‘s fans rallied behind her then as well. The streaming service then issued an apology, and subsequently removed the scene from the episode.

At that time, Selena did not respond, but her donor and BFF Francia Raisa shared a spoke out on Twitter.
