Billie Eilish Earns Second No 1 as 'Happier Than Ever' Debuts In Top Spot

Billie Eilish is two for two!

The 19-year-old singer’s second album Happier Than Ever has debuted in the number one slot on Billboard‘s 200 Albums chart.

This is her second No 1 album following her hit 2019 debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Happier Than Ever charted 238,000 equivalent album units in the US with the fifth largest week of 2021. Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut Sour still sits as the largest week with 295,000.

From the album, there are five Top 40 charting songs – “My Future,” “Therefore I Am,” “Your Power,” “Lost Cause” and “NDA.”

After releasing Happier Than Ever, Billie said that it was “the most fulfilling most satisfying and profound experience i’ve ever had with my music. finneas and i were just on cloud 9 making this album i feel.. i love every song on this project so so much it literally scares me thinking about putting it out into the world for anyone to listen to. i feel like crying.”

Also in the top five albums this week are The Kid LAROI‘s F*ck Love at No 2, Sour at three, Prince’s Welcome 2 America at No 4 and Doja Cat‘s Planet Her at No 5.

In just under a month, Billie will debut her Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles concert film, where she will perform the album from top to bottom for the first and only time.
