New 'Adventure Time' Series Coming to HBO Max With Fionna & Cake!

Adventure Time is getting a new spinoff series!

HBO Max has put into motion the new series Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, a half-hour YA animated series following Fionna and Cake, her cat.

Here’s a synopsis: Fionna and Cake – with the help of the former Ice King, Simon Petrikov – embark on a multiverse-hopping adventure and journey of self-discovery. All the while a powerful new antagonist determined to track them down and erase them from existence, lurks in the shadows.

Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake will have ten-episodes produced by Cartoon Network Studios, with Adam Muto as showrunner and executive producer.

Fionna & Cake is the latest in the Adventure Time franchise on HBO Max, following the four one-hour specials, Adventure Time: Distant Lands. Part four, “Wizard City,” will be out this fall.
