Disney+ debuted the new trailer for the upcoming series, starring Peyton Elizabeth Lee in the title role, on Friday (August 27).

The new series, inspired by Doogie Howser, M.D., follows Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha (Lee), a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical ‘ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path.
Doogie Kamealoha is set in modern-day Hawaii and was shot on location in O’ahu!
The show also stars Kathleen Rose Perkins as Dr. Clara Hannon, Jason Scott Lee as Benny Kamealoha, Matthew Sato as Kai Kamealoha, Wes Tian as Brian Patrick Kamealoha, Emma Meisel as Steph, Mapuana Makia as Noelani and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman as Charles, plus recurring stars Alex Aiono as Walter and Ronny Chieng as Dr. Lee.
