Zendaya & Sam Levinson Tease 'Brutal' Second Season of 'Euphoria'

Zendaya is dishing a little on the upcoming, highly anticipated season two of Euphoria!

In a new magazine interview, the 25-year-old actress and the creator of the show Sam Levinson teased the series.

“[I'm] the most sober person you could ask to play this part. I can only understand it to an extent, and then I have to lean on Sam. He was an addict for many years as a teenager. And he’s been clean since he was 19 years old. That’s the thing that makes me hopeful,” Zendaya told British Vogue. “When we have all this really dark sh-t – especially this season breaks my heart for Rue – there’s a glimmer of hope because I know that she is a version of him.”

Sam added what Zendaya is like on set…

“It’s such a brutal season,” he says. “And what I love the most about Z is she’s able to go to those dark places and then as soon as I call cut, she’s hanging out behind the monitor, eating Cheesecake Factory and cracking jokes.”

“She’s also family. We just shoot the sh-t all day. We talk about the show, the characters, life, movies, politics,” he added. “She’s one of the most grounded human beings I know.”

Zendaya is currently on a break from filming Euphoria, as she has been in Europe promoting her upcoming movie Dune.
