Andrew Garfield Says This About That Viral 'Spider-Man' Photo of Him & Tobey Maguire

Andrew Garfield was asked about the viral photo that seemingly showed him and Tobey Maguire together on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

If you’ve seen the pic, you’ll know that it isn’t exactly of the best quality, and many social media users have also said that it seems fake.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Andrew continued to shoot down the rumors and theories that he’s going to be in the new Spider-Man movie.

“I’m not sure about that,” Andrew said, adding, “I heard about it, and I did see it, and it’s a photoshop.”

“I’m trying to manage expectations,” he continued. “Listen, if they want to give me a call at this late stage in the game…”

Jimmy then asked if he’s seen the trailer for the upcoming movie.

“I have and I’m excited. I think that Tom Holland is just the perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man, so I am just super stoked,” Andrew shared. “And I get to just be a fan again, which is my preferred position, to be able to sit in the audience and just go, ‘Yeah, you screwed up mate. You didn’t do it as well as you could have done it.’”

Watch the interview video below to see just how Andrew responded to being asked about the photo…

Andrew has been pretty outspoken about the potential of his return to Spider-Man, having been asked about it a lot. Just last week he denied his involvement.

Earlier this year, Andrew said that he wasn’t even asked to do the movie, which has been confirmed to feature a multi-verse of characters. Since there’s a multiverse, with a lot of past villains returning, including Doc Ock, coming back, so there’s not much doubt from fans that Andrew and Tobey will appear, even if they keep denying it!
