MGK just DM’d me on Instagram and said, ‘I have this opportunity for you. I think it’s really f–king sick. Let me know if we could get on the phone,’” Chase told Noctis magazine. “Only he can just DM somebody and cast him in a movie that way!”

He added, “I did two acting lessons. They gave me around 15 lines. I ended up doing 106!”

In the magazine, Chase also opened up about making the move to LA and how that was a stepping stone to get into music.

“I saw LA like a stepping stone to get to the music. ‘Cause I always wanted to do that. I just went from having fun to moving out to LA and working my way around,” he told the mag. “It was ‘maybe one day’ kind of a thing; singing always felt like this foreign object, and now I’m actually doing it.”

“Once I started making music, it came full circle for me; I felt lost before. I didn’t know how to dress. I wasn’t sure if I liked the way my hair looked…” he added.
