Tyra Banks Says Olivia Jade Is 'Brave' For Doing 'Dancing With The Stars'

Tyra Banks has shared her thoughts on Olivia Jade joining Dancing With The Stars this season!

The host and executive producer of the series opened up just a few days before the new season started.

“I’m actually proud of her. It is hard to go through what she went through,” Tyra told PEOPLE (the TV Show!)‘s correspondent Sandra Vergara.

“She’s a human being and people have to remember that first, that she’s a human being with emotions and so much,” she continued. “So for her to say, ‘I’m going to come on here, I’m going to show the world my vulnerability. I’m going to be able to tell my story like I have never told it before,’ is very brave, but also very smart.”

Olivia previously spoke about being given a second chance and wanting to try new things. She also is starting a podcast!

“I hope people just really genuinely know how excited and grateful I am,” she told People. “I think about a few weeks ago, and knowing that this was very far-fetched and not really in the cards. I’m super thankful for a second chance.”

“I’m ready to put myself back out there and try new things,” Olivia said. “I’m really excited to challenge myself and put myself out of my comfort zone, which I don’t do often.”
