Joe Jonas Celebrates 'Fastlife' 10th Anniversary, Says It's Now a Favorite Memory

Joe Jonas is celebrating his solo album Fastlife and it’s 10 year anniversary!

The 32-year-old Jonas Brothers signer went completely solo for the one album, which was released on October 11, 2011.

In a new Instagram post for the album’s anniversary, Joe shared that he now looks back at the time with a more positive outlook. If you didn’t know, Joe opened up about not liking the album and it not being a huge success in the Jonas Brothers documentary Chasing Happiness.

“My solo album Fastlife turns 10 years old today!! If I’m being honest, my feeling around this release used to be disappointment. Up until this moment, I had released big records with my brothers back-to-back and stepping out on my own was very scary. At the time, I was upset that it didn’t perform how I had anticipated, but I didn’t realize this would actually turn out to be one of my favorite memories of my life,” Joe wrote.

“Fastlife pushed me to focus and work on my mental health in a way I’d never had to before. This album made me realize that it’s not about how many people listen to your music or how many albums you sell… you have to do it because you have the ability to CREATE and for your love of the music!!” he continued.

“So it turns out that this album is actually one of my favorites because I was able to rediscover my passion all over again and stop worrying about what people may or may not think of me. I do music for me and because it comes from the heart. When I re-listen to these songs I’m so proud of them and I’m so grateful that so many of you have fallen in love with them along the way,” Joe concluded. “Happy Birthday Fastlife 🥳🥳🥳 #JusticeForFastlife”

Fastlife had quite a few good songs, including the two singles, “See No More” and “Just In Love,” as well as “Lighthouse” and “Kleptomaniac.” Check out the album, and the two music videos, below!
