Cedric Joe's Upcoming Limited Series 'Women of the Movement' Finally Gets Premiere Date!

The upcoming limited series Women of the Movement has finally been given a premiere date on ABC!
Rising star Cedric Joe is starring as a young Emmett Till in the series, alongside Tony award winner Adrienne Warren as his mom Mamie Till-Mobley.

Women of the Movement is “based on the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley, who in 1955 risked her life to find justice after her son Emmett was brutally murdered in the Jim Crow South. Unwilling to let Emmett’s murder disappear from the headlines, Mamie chose to bear her pain on the world’s stage, emerging as an activist for justice and igniting the Civil Rights movement as we know it today.”
Tonya Pinkins, Ray Fisher, Glynn Turman, Chris Coy, Carter Jenkins and Julia McDermott also star.
The six-episode series will air in three parts beginning Thursday, January 6th, at 8pm ET/PT on ABC, for three consecutive weeks. Check out a teaser below.
