Jaden Michael Teams With Colin Kaepernick For 'Colin In Black & White' Premiere

Jaden Michael and Colin Kaepernick are all smiles at the premiere of their new series held at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Thursday (October 29) in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old plays the younger version of the football player in Colin in Black & White, which is out now on Netflix.

Co-creator and director Ava DuVernay and co-stars Amarr and Klarke Pipkin walked the carpet at the premiere as well.

Also in attendance were Asante Blackk and Isis King.

Colin in Black & White chronicles Kaepernick’s coming of age story, tackling the obstacles of race, class and culture as the Black adopted child of a white family.

Jaden stars as Young Colin before reaching the highest levels of American football as an NFL quarterback and becoming a cultural icon and activist, while Colin appears as himself in present day, serving as narrator of his own story, guiding viewers through a robust and colorfully presented array of historical and contemporary contextual moments.
